Julie Fisher I have over 10 years of experience of talking therapies with a diverse range of people. Attained a distinction in Social Care which included course related subjects including counselling, psychology, sociology and professional practice. Subsequently, followed with an extensive study programme and qualified as a Social Worker , opting to take a specialised course and examination in mental health and distress. I am fully registered with the General Social Care Council. In continuing my professional development I have undertaken training in mental health, managing stress, domestic abuse and violence, emotional intelligence and personality disorders. My work within various social intervention settings has given me beneficial experience with a varied range of people and has provided understanding as to how problems and anxieties impact on daily living, which can be both physical and psychological. It was with this knowledge and valuable life experience that I could see the significance of people being helped to understand why certain behaviours, habits and fears are developed and how they can be supported to change, enabling them to experience a better quality of life. I have complimented my experience by studying for and gaining the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma and am a graduate member of the Associated Stress Consultants in Psychotherapy MASC. (P.th.). Since qualifying I have set up my own practise Serendipity, which has enabled me to provide support to people who are experiencing periods of difficulty. I am a full member of The Independent Professional Therapists International, International Hypnotherapy Association and The British College of Clinical Hypnotherapists. This ensures that I provide the highest level of integrity and professional conduct in maintaining their Code of Ethics. |
